About The Position
The Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA) is comprised of over 2,300 employees working collectively and in partnership with community-based organizations, neighborhood groups and policy makers to serve the needs of the community. SSA is comprised of four operating departments: Agency Administration & Finance; Adult & Aging Services; Children & Family Services; and Workforce & Benefits Administration. SSA's mission is to promote the economic and social well-being of individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities. Under general direction, to perform professional, human resources management work in a County department or agency assisting, developing and maintaining a program of human resources management and administration including, recruitment/staffing, workforce planning, training and development, examination development and administration, employee selection, position classification, performance evaluations, affirmative action, disciplinary and grievance procedures and employee relations; and to perform other related duties.
