About The Position

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • For Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience.
  • For Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level in state service.
  • For Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced (P11) level in state service.

  • Experience in compliance review or public safety analysis.
  • Knowledge of state regulations related to 911 services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research and analysis projects related to the State 911 Committee's compliance reviews.
  • Track communication providers' surcharge contributions.
  • Monitor rulemaking activity and public safety answering points (PSAP) standards.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate the Compliance Review Program.
  • Provide recommendations for the Michigan State 911 Administration Portal (MiSNAP).
  • Develop criteria and guidelines for operational best practices.
