About The Position
This position involves engineering work within the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) Traffic Signals and Signs Division. Employees assist Traffic Engineer 3's in the technical functions of the traffic signals operations engineering section. Responsibilities include developing phasing plans, traffic signal controller timing and appropriate system timing patterns for all times of day and days of the week and representing Traffic Signals and Signs Division in meetings with local municipalities, state or local government representatives to resolve traffic signal operational matters.
