About The Position

The Department of State is seeking a Branch Supervisor for its Caro location. This role involves overseeing branch operations, providing excellent customer service, training staff, and managing office equipment and supplies. The selected candidate will be appointed to either the Branch Supervisor 9 (Trainee) or Branch Supervisor 10 position based on their qualifications. This is a full-time position with a varied work schedule, including potential travel for relief assignments at other branch offices.

Requirements

  • Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits).
  • No specific type or amount of experience is required, but relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Four years of experience equivalent to a Department of State Aide, including two years equivalent to a Department of State Aide E8 or one year equivalent to a Department of State Aide 9 may substitute for education and experience requirements.
  • Completion of one year of college and one year of experience as a Department of State Aide E8 may substitute for education and experience requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory role or team lead position.
  • Experience in customer service, particularly in high-volume environments.
  • Experience with cash handling and financial transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a working supervisor in various locations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public.

  • Prepare various reports related to branch operations.
  • Process all transactions carried out in a Secretary of State branch office.
