About The Position

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure track Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include the care of patients with musculoskeletal oncology issues, Orthopaedic Trauma and some Total Joint replacement. Candidate will work with the Department Chair and Residency Program Director to assess the educational needs and facilitate an invigoration of the didactic and practical Oncology and Trauma education program. She or He will work closely with multiple other disciplines involved in both Trauma and Oncology care located on the Downtown Campus. We are interested in candidates who are fellowship trained, graduates of an ACGME approved Orthopaedic surgery residency, with an interest in both Trauma and Orthopaedic Oncology.

Requirements

  • Fellowship trained in Orthopaedic surgery
  • Graduate of an ACGME approved Orthopaedic surgery residency
  • Board Certified/Eligible
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Illinois Medical License

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients with musculoskeletal oncology issues
  • Manage Orthopaedic Trauma cases
  • Perform Total Joint replacements
  • Work with the Department Chair and Residency Program Director to assess educational needs
  • Facilitate the improvement of the Oncology and Trauma education program
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines involved in Trauma and Oncology care
