About The Position

Indiana University of Pennsylvania Department of Finance and Economics (FIEC) in the Eberly College of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Finance beginning August 2025. Founded in 1875, IUP is a student-centered learning community located approximately 55 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. The Eberly College of Business, fully accredited by AACSB International, values and supports a blend of excellent teaching and scholarly productivity.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in finance or a closely related field (e.g., economics or international finance) earned by August 2025.
• Interest in teaching finance classes in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness.
• Demonstrated potential for research consistent with the mission of the college.

Responsibilities

• Effective teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels (MBA & Ph.D.-Business).
• Meet the Eberly College of Business criteria to qualify as a Scholarly Academic based on AACSB accreditation standards.
• Provide service to the department, college, university, and community.
• Advising and mentoring students; assisting students with research or other relevant projects including serving on doctoral student committees.
• May be assigned to perform work at off-campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.
