Ensures the timely delivery of quality and cost effective packaging products.

Requirements

  • Business or Manufacturing Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight Years manufacturing of thermoformed parts experience.
  • Five years project management skills in plastics packaging in the thermoforming industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to properly prioritize activities and projects.
  • Thermoforming Manufacturing equipment
  • Basic Shop Equipment and hand tools
  • Computers

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the entire thermoforming production process in the Device building.
  • Manages Manufacturing’s processes to ensure that all projects are planned and executed with quality in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Establishes schedules and priorities for all shifts.
  • Ensures customer commitments are met.
  • Supervises, mentors, and trains production staff.
  • Plans, consults and brainstorms with staff; implements lean management principles.
  • Leads process improvement teams to rigorously apply the lean process improvement methodologies to achieve business goals.
  • Observes industrial processes, provides training, and establishes process improvements as needed.
  • Keeps the Production Superintendent informed on the status of work on a regular basis and immediately reports problems and exceptions.
  • Manages various capital projects within budget and on time.
