About The Position

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Department Manager for its Marshalltown office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients. Responsibilities include: Positions, instructs and follows safe radiologic procedures. Examines imaging studies for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness. Administers contrast media per department policies. Organizes, plans and directs activities related to patient services and procedures. Evaluates, recommends and justifies additions, deletions, changes, and upgrades to Radiology department equipment and services. Prepares budgets, oversees purchases of supplies and minor equipment, and monitors revenues an expenses. Collects data , prepares reports, answers correspondence, and compiles statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes. Works cooperatively with Clinic Administrators, Directors, Managers, and Supervisors in order to assure smooth interdepartmental interactions. Maintains and monitors all functions related to Radiology Department compliance with regulatory programs and accreditations bodies such as State of Iowa, ACR, HIPAA, OSHA, etc. Is responsible for all functions related to supervision of Radiology staff including, but not limited to, hiring training, discipline, staff assignments, payroll, annual reviews, etc. Education Completion of accredited course in Radiologic Technologist -OR- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology. Certification/Licenses Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current BCLS certification. Current state permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer. Days: Monday-Friday Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with some flexibility Experience Minimum of 5 years experience as Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinic radiology department. Preferred minimum of 1 year experience as Lead technologist or supervisory experience including administrative, budgetary, and regulatory duties. Additional appropriate education can be substituted for experience. Preferred experience with accreditation processes, policies, and procedures. Requirements

  • Completion of accredited course in Radiologic Technologist -OR- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
