The Department Manager at Michaels is responsible for leading and supporting inventory management and merchandising standards and maintenance. The role involves planning for and providing a well-merchandised and in-stock store for customers to shop, as well as delivering friendly customer service. The Department Manager will assist the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements. This includes managing the truck processes, executing the planogram process, and supporting shrink and safety programs. The Department Manager will also serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and maintain seasonal sets to visual merchandising standards.
