About The Position
The Prince George's County Planning Department of The Maryland National-Capital Park and Planning Commission is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our planning team. This manager will be directly responsible for the overall management, administration and coordination of human resources within the Planning Department. The Department has approximately 235 employees. A member of the Department's Senior Management Team, this position provides strategic and tactical guidance, advice, and support to senior and executive management teams on the full range of issues pertaining to the operation and delivery of human resources management, including but not limited to consultation on complex or sensitive personnel matters, allocation of workforce resources, development and execution of general human resources strategies and plans, and a comprehensive employee development and training program. This position supervises Department human resources staff.
