About The Position

The Lead Surveyor will play a critical role in overseeing and managing surveying projects to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This position involves leading a team of surveyors and technicians, coordinating fieldwork, and analyzing data to produce precise land surveys. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed reports and documentation that support project objectives and client requirements. Additionally, the Lead Surveyor will engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings and provide expert recommendations. Ultimately, this role is essential for delivering high-quality surveying services that meet the needs of our diverse clientele in Wilkesboro and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret survey data and produce accurate reports.
• Leadership skills are essential for managing a team and ensuring effective collaboration among team members.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software is crucial for conducting fieldwork and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and surveying software.
• Project management certification or experience managing large-scale surveying projects.
• Familiarity with local zoning laws and regulations.
