About The Position

Summit Search Solutions is assisting UNI with the Department Head of Social Work search. The Department Head is responsible for providing leadership and vision as well as oversight of the general operations of the department, including the departmental budget, class schedules, evaluation of faculty, and supervision of departmental staff. The Department Head reports to the Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education accredited program.
• Doctorate in social work or related field.
• Record of teaching and scholarly achievements commensurate with a tenured appointment at the rank of associate or full professor.
• Evidence of academic, administrative, or supervisory experience.
• Experience with student recruitment and successful retention.
• Understanding of CSWE accreditation.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of post-MSW practice experience.
