Requirements

  • Ability to learn PeopleSoft, Concur, and other University-supported software applications
  • Self-starter with the ability to establish work priorities
  • Ability to use tact and good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Graduate Program Administrator in managing the daily operations of the Politics PhD program, including managing student dossiers and preparing student files.
  • Schedules work-study students and coordinates maintenance for office equipment.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail and shipping requests, and maintains office supplies.
  • Plans and executes weekly graduate research seminars, including scheduling speakers and ordering food.
  • Drafts and posts news items to the Department website and social media, and develops content for the annual Department newsletter.
  • Provides support for undergraduate program projects, such as the Senior Thesis Poster Session.
