About The Position

The University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Department Coordinator II who will be an assistant to the Chair. Responsibilities for this staff position include: Proactively maintain the Chair’s calendar, prioritize outstanding commitments, and schedule high-level meetings to ensure all deadlines are met. Assist the Chair with a wide range of tasks, including drafting professional correspondence, compiling lecture materials, and preparing research publications. Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, trainees, and external local, regional, and national organizations where the Chair holds leadership roles. Coordinate complex academic travel arrangements and manage the administrative functions critical to the department's daily operations. Manage the Chair’s competing priorities and commitments, ensuring high-level deadlines are met and departmental workflow remains seamless. Provide dedicated administrative support for faculty and departmental meetings, including agenda preparation and precise minute-taking. Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and two or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
