About The Position

VCA Encina Veterinary Medical Center is searching for a dedicated positive attitude orientated candidate with a passion for providing top of the line customer service, with a focus on patient care. This position allows you to work alongside the DVM during their scheduled appointments. The department coordinator is responsible for rooming the client and patient, presenting treatment plans, filling prescriptions, handling questions from the client in between exams and visits. The ability to multi-task is a must. The perfect candidate would have 2+ years working in the veterinary field as a Client Service Representative, or similar position.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of current veterinary hospital experience, preferably in emergency or specialty veterinary medicine
• Customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Answering phones
• Making appointments
• Checking clients in and out
• Speaking with clients regarding their pets and family
• Creating and managing estimates for diagnostics and treatments for clients
• Rooming clients and patients
• Obtaining temperature and weight of pets
• Being a liaison of communication between doctor and client
• Accurately filling medications for patients
