About The Position

Dauphin County Domestic Relations is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position Department Clerk 1 (phones). The employee in this entry level position operates a centralized telephone switchboard system. Job duties include answering and transferring a large volume of incoming telephone calls by using a standardized phone script, responding to general inquiries by the public, providing clerical support, such as data entry through a statewide computerized database and mailing requested paperwork. To ensure adherence to standards and schedules prescribed by Federal, State and County authorities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in office environment to include computer experience, and with a concentration on client interaction and customer service or comparable work in sales environment.
  • Previous experience in a professional office environment
  • Must have adequate knowledge of computer skills
  • Be capable of operating general office machines
  • Favorable background check is required.
