Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the Mechanical Engineering department.
• Guide faculty and staff in their roles and responsibilities.
• Contribute to the annual evaluation of faculty and the tenure-promotion process.
• Establish departmental committees and key policies.
• Lead day-to-day operations and financial administration of the department.
• Coordinate academic matters including curriculum processes and development of new educational experiences.
• Provide leadership for high impact, cross-disciplinary research.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to enhance departmental visibility.
• Pursue philanthropic opportunities to support scholarships and facilities.
