At Cleveland Clinic, everyone is a caregiver, whether serving in healthcare, customer service, administrative, or analytic roles. As a Department Analyst, your work as a caregiver begins in the office, where you support the analysis and evaluation of operational resources, services, programs, systems, budgets, and procedures. In this role, you will manage the pre-award dashboard and pipeline, partner with a designated group of Principal Investigators (PIs), review dashboard assessments, and follow established processes to determine all requirements for grant submissions. Success in this position requires strong process orientation, clear and confident communication, and the ability to work effectively with PIs and other stakeholders. A caregiver in this role works a hybrid schedule from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m., with three days on site and two days remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field and one year of statistical analysis experience or five years of relevant experience in a health care setting OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of experience OR Associate's Degree and three years of experience OR Master's Degree
  • Excellent analytical, communication and customer service skills

  • Experience with Excel features such as basic functions (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, IF), VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, or PivotTables

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate operational and financial functions of administrative and operational units.
  • Analyze departmental resources, services, systems, budgets and programs.
  • Prepare reports based on analysis.
  • Conduct basic statistical analysis and evaluation of unit services and performance.
  • Identify program or service strengths, weaknesses, and financial impact.
  • Identify opportunities for service and program improvement.
  • Develop special reports and recommendations.
  • Assist with the development of operational plans, procedures and systems.
  • Review and evaluate current procedures and systems and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with various regulatory guidelines. (JCAHO, FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.
