About The Position

Manage business and administrative operations for the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development's Department of Art and Art Professions, encompassing a broad and highly complex variety of funding sources and staff to ensure effective and efficient office operations and the delivery of budgetary, financial, administrative and technical services. Manage preparation of financial reports and projects for department; develop departmental budgets, gift & grant accounts, manage and control expenditures. Act as administrative liaison with other School and University offices; interpret and apply University policies to plan and manage highly complex administrative matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, including managing administrative services/processes, budgets, grants, and staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent planning, management, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to negotiate solutions to contain problems and persuade others when some differences of opinion may exist.
  • Proficiency with standard office software, especially Excel.
