About The Position

The Corporate Controller at YES Communities is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and leading the accounting team to maintain high standards of financial reporting and internal controls. This role is pivotal in managing the month-end and year-end close processes and developing accounting policies to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Expertise in GAAP accounting and technical accounting.
• A CPA license is required.
• Ten or more years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience leading an accounting department within a high growth company or large company.
• Experience leading accounting in a publicly traded or externally audited environment.
• Public accounting (big 4) background.
• Experience managing large teams.

• Experience with system, ERP implementations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Corporate Accounting, and Property Accounting.
• Ensure efficient and accurate month-end and year-end close processes following GAAP.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and enhance adequacy of internal controls.
