This is a part-time, hourly position that will work no more than 20 hours per week. We are seeking candidates who can be available to start as early as June 8. Internships will end on September, with the possibility of an extension, if mutually agreed upon. The pay range for this position is $20.22/hour $22.85/hour, based on education. Interns are not eligible for benefits. Please note this position may require regular work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends. Location & Schedule In this position you can expect to work primarily on-site 3 – 4 days per week at either a District Office or the Denver City and County Building. Interns may work in the evenings and weekends, as needed. Special events, meetings, and other City Council events may take place off-site at various locations around Denver. What You’ll Do City Council Internships are built around the core responsibilities of policy/legislative research, constituent services, and marketing & communications. Interns will wear many hats and adapt to priorities and tasks, as needed. This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of City Council within the City and County of Denver through various projects, tasks, and support needed for a growing and changing community. Interns will experience a fast-paced, professional environment while working special projects and scheduling details for events that pertain to city council and our Denver’s residents.
