We have an opportunity to provide whole person care, while managing patient substance use disorders, primary care, infectious disease, mental and dental health needs. We are currently seeking a part-time Denturist up to three days a week to support our clinic in Tacoma, WA. This position, reporting to the Dental Director, is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact in a growing company. Position Overview A Denturist is a licensed oral healthcare professional who specializes in the design, fabrication, fitting, and adjustment of removable dental prosthetics, including full and partial dentures. Working independently or in collaboration with dentists, the Denturist provides direct patient care to restore oral function, comfort, and aesthetics. We are looking for a Denturist who understands how critical opioid treatment is and who wants to help by being part of a whole-person treatment team where every employee makes a difference in our patients lives every day. Requirements

  • Active Denturist License issued by the Washington State Department of Health
  • Graduate of an accredited denturist or dental prosthetics program
  • Knowledge of oral anatomy, dental materials, and prosthetic techniques
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
  • Must comply with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and Revised Code of Washington (RCW) governing denturists
  • Required to complete continuing education to maintain licensure

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of clinical experience as a denturist
  • Experience with digital denture workflows or CAD/CAM technology
  • Experience in community health

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ oral health conditions and determine denture needs for patients with complex medical, social and behavioral backgrounds
  • Make impressions and necessary records for full and partial dentures
  • Design, fabricate, repair, and reline removable dental prosthetics
  • Fit, adjust, and ensure proper function and comfort of dentures
  • Educate patients on denture care, maintenance, and oral hygiene, considering limited access to resources
  • Deliver trauma-informed, nonjudgmental care that builds trust and patient engagement
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with Washington State regulations and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with dentists or other healthcare providers when necessary
  • Stay current with advancements in denture technology and materials
