This position is for a dentist within the Federal service, specifically located in Cass Lake, MN and Red Lake, MN. The role requires a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution. Applicants must also have passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) and possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry. The position is open from August 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and requires applicants to demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service.

  • Evaluate, prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and disorders of the oral cavity and maxillofacial area.
  • Perform restorative, pediatric, periodontic, endodontic, prosthodontic, diagnostic, surgical, and preventative dental services.
  • Conduct oral surgeries, including extraction of impacted teeth or full mouth extraction.
  • Manage prosthodontic cases, including crown/bridges, complete dentures, and relines.
  • Perform routine pedodontic procedures and treat cases of rampant caries in children.
  • Manage case treatment for medically complex cases and obtain medical clearances for comprehensive dental care.
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE).
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry.
  • One or more years of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level performing professional dentistry work.
  • Completion of a 2-year residency program in dentistry or equivalent experience for GS-12 level.
