Position Summary: The Dentist is responsible for providing high-quality dental care, including diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health issues. This role involves conducting comprehensive dental exams, performing a variety of procedures such as fillings, root canals, and extractions, and developing personalized treatment plans for patients. The Dentist also educates patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. In addition to delivering clinical care, the role includes maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring a sterile and safe environment, and staying up-to-date with advancements in dental technology. Strong communication, manual dexterity, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid state licensure to practice dentistry.
  • Strong proficiency in performing a wide range of dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, crowns, root canals, and preventive treatments.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat dental conditions accurately and efficiently.
  • Skilled in the use of dental tools and equipment, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to perform intricate dental procedures with precision and care.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain procedures, treatment options, and preventive care to patients.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, making them feel comfortable and well-informed.
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and devise appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical observations.
  • Proficiency in identifying potential complications and making quick decisions to adjust treatment as needed.
  • An ability to manage anxious or nervous patients and provide reassurance and comfort.
  • Ability to maintain accurate patient records, track treatment progress, and document all necessary clinical information.
  • Effective time management skills to handle a busy patient schedule and ensure timely delivery of dental services.
  • Collaborative attitude to foster a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Willingness to stay current with advancements in the dental field through continuing education and professional development.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to apply them in daily practices.
  • Understanding of office protocols and ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough dental exams and assessments of patients' oral health.
