Requirements

  • Graduate of a Dental School recognized by the ADA Counsel on Dental Education
  • Dental Residency Program is required
  • Current Connecticut Dental License and current narcotics license are required
  • CPR Certification is required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience is preferred
  • New graduates can apply
  • Familiarity with EPIC Systems is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • examining, diagnosing, counseling, and performing dental treatment for patients
  • participate in departmental and center-wide activities
  • Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures
  • Examines patient to determine the nature of the condition, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Cleans, fills, extracts, and replaces teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements
  • Provides preventive dental services to patients, such as applications of fluoride and sealants to teeth, and education in oral and dental hygiene
