AvaMed Inc. is a leading medical staffing agency specializing in placements throughout all California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently seeking a Dentist for a full-time assignment to cover a leave of absence at the correctional facility in Chowchilla, CA. Position Overview: Job Title: Dentist Location: Chowchilla, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm Pay Rate: $130/hr as a 1099 Pay Frequency: Weekly Job Description: Under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist or designee, the Dentist is the clinical leader of the Dental Assistant. Services provided must be based on dental necessity and effective to protect life, prevent significant illness or disability, or alleviate severe pain that significantly disables the patient from reasonable independent function. we shall defer services if the healthcare service is non-essential or could safely be deferred until the inmate/patient is released from custody, when he/she is able to arrange for services for him/her. Vendor shall ensure that all ordered dental services and proposed surgical procedures shall be scheduled consistent with the severity of the dental need. Once scheduled, services shall be delivered at the time scheduled, unless unavoidable circumstances occur.
Requirements
- Active CA Dentist License
- Ability to work consistently with minimal day off requests
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a secure, structured environment
