About The Position

Scope of Tasks & Responsibilities: Provide care for all age groups in the following disciplines of a general dental practice: diagnosis, preventative dentistry, operative dentistry, pedodontics, periodontics, removable prosthodontics, endodontics, fixed prosthodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics. Organization and implementation of the dental program including scheduling, data collection, reporting statistics, and evaluating on-going processes and procedures evaluates performance of professional and auxiliary dental staff Directs the assignments of and supervises the work of all dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and other assigned staff Ensure continuity of patient care through health maintenance activities including evaluation, early detection and management of problems Maintain database and statistics to monitor care provided Provide supervision and training for students assigned to RHC Collaborate with volunteers Attend conferences and meetings of dental importance whenever possible Commitment to Raphael Health Center mission Treat patients and other staff members with respect and dignity Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Graduate of approved School of Dentistry
Two years’ experience in the practice of dentistry
Current, valid Indiana medical license
Current DEA registration
Knowledge of state and federal laws regulating dental profession
Able to train, supervise, counsel and direct professional and technical personnel
Effective oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of and ability to perform administrative functions related directly to dental services and then to the health care facility as a whole. Ability to diagnose and treat dental and oral disease.
Working knowledge of the principles, standard practices methods, and techniques of dentistry.
Knowledge of preventative dentistry and educational methodologies utilized in prevention
Skill in oral operative techniques and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients and staff
