Requirements

  • Current state license as DMD/DDS
  • Current DEA
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Provide and manage direct dental patient care, including oral examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified population in a correctional healthcare/dental setting
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed oral conditions
  • Manage the daily operations of the dental clinic at the facility
  • Participate and direct health promotion, education and/or prevention programs for inmates and provides in-service training for health staff members
