About The Position

East Hill Medical Center is seeking a full-time dentist to join our growing organization. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in downtown Auburn, NY, we provide state-of-the-art dental care with a focus on patient-centered services. The dentist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating oral and dental conditions, managing emergencies, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted NYS Dental License.
• CPR Certification.
• Infection Control Certificate.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients and community partners.
• Organized with great attention to detail.
• Ability to provide quality customer service to each and every patient.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Dentrix and Medent, preferred.
• Flexibility to work between main dental location and School Based Dental Locations.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients to diagnose and treat oral and dental conditions.
• Provide routine care including examinations, administration of medication, periodontal therapy, x-rays, and follow-up maintenance checks.
• Manage emergencies such as acute hemorrhages, anaphylaxis, respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, and seizures.
• Conduct procedures related to routine care or symptoms exhibited during office visits, including restorations, non-surgical extractions, pulpotomy, dentures, and incision and drainage.
• Consult with specialists regarding the administration of care to patients as applicable.
• Document care provided in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives for the dental office including peer review.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
