Responsible to examine, diagnose, plan, and comprehensively treat disease, abnormalities, injuries, and emergency dental services to pediatric, adolescent, and special needs population groups. With limited access to surgical/anesthesia operatory settings on the island, competency in behavioral management techniques is a must. Positions are for full time salaried employment, but the expectation is that Providers will generally put in over 40 hours per week performing clinical, lab, supervisory, management, and recordkeeping functions. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, patient access is a primary consideration influencing individual work schedules and clinic hours. Providers should anticipate the possibility of working at multiple locations and clinics are open Mon – Sat. Providers may need to provide faculty supervision to residents and be responsible for their competent provision of care to patients of the Center. Allocation of time between patient care and support of the residency program is determined by the Dental Director.
