About The Position

This position is for radiological personnel within the Federal Government, specifically for GS-3 and GS-4 levels. Candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the role. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service through National Service programs. Applicants must clearly outline their duties and responsibilities in their resume, including the total number of hours worked per week. The position requires adherence to specific radiological certification requirements as mandated by Public Law 97-35 and 42 CFR Part 75.

Requirements

• Radiological Certification for GS-3 and GS-4 levels.
• At least 3 months of general experience for GS-02 level.
• At least 6 months of general experience for GS-03 level.
• Completion of a 1-year dental assistant program or a 1-year dental hygiene program for GS-03 level.
• 6 months of specialized experience for GS-04 level.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service, record-keeping, and clinic maintenance.
• Completion of a 2-year dental assistant or dental hygiene program for GS-04 level.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiological procedures in compliance with federal regulations.
• Provide dental assistance in general or specialized dentistry.
• Set up instruments for dental procedures and provide chairside assistance.
• Record treatments rendered and provide receptionist services.
• Expose and process digital oral x-rays.
