Requirements

  • DDS or DMD or foreign equivalent degree
  • Current license to practice dentistry in the State of Georgia
  • One year of internship, residency or clinical experience in dentistry.
  • Internship, residency or clinical experience may have been acquired prior to, as part of, or after completion of the DDS or DMD degree program

Responsibilities

  • Assume quality of care for all patients while adhering to the highest standard of dental practice ethics and professionalism.
  • Educate patients on oral health.
  • Complete comprehensive full mouth exams and diagnose dental conditions.
  • Assess treatment planning options and discuss with patient and carry out agreed clinical treatments.
  • Maintain (update) patients’ medical records.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in dentistry through structured continuing professional developments.
  • Maintain an awareness of the budget and work in conjunction with operations team to attain financial objectives of the office.
  • Mentor new dentists as needed.
