About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Dentist to join our team as a Full-Time Locum/Contract Dentist for Santa Fe Indian Health Center Located in Santa Fe, NM. As a Family Dentist, you will be responsible for providing dental care to both adults and pediatrics. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be licensed to practice dentistry. Our clinic is dedicated to providing quality healthcare to all eligible American Indians and Alaska Natives in the Uintah-Ouray Service Unit Area. Flexible contract (up to a year) with extension possibilities. Clinic hours, Monday - Friday 8-5. No weekends, No Holidays. Day shift. Family Practice Physician Dentist, Adult and Pediatric. Doctor of Dentistry required. Locum tenens experience a plus. Previous IHS facility experience helpful. 2+ years experience required. Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Can work on any state license. Great pay, excellent work culture, & work-life balance in Utah! Must be willing and able to pass Federal Security Clearance pre-hire.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dentist after dental school (2 years of fellowship can count as this experience)
  • Minimum Education: DDS or DMD Degree from an Accredited Dental School Program, doctorate is required
  • Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Applicants must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a Dentist in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Drivers license may be required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule
  • Must be a US citizen, Primarily living in the USA
  • Must be willing to complete a federal background check
  • Willingness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice
