About The Position

The Dental Treatment Coordinator at Village Dental is responsible for guiding patients through their treatment journey, ensuring a seamless experience from scheduling appointments to coordinating pre-op and post-op care for sedation procedures. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, requiring a blend of dental office management and treatment coordination skills, while offering opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and innovative environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a dental office.
• Ideally 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Ability to project a positive, warm, and professional image in person and on the phone.
• Must be articulate and service-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and anticipate the needs of others.
• Reliable and prompt; available for at least 35 hours per week.
• Works well in a team, with humor, enthusiasm, and joyful consideration of others.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through their treatment journey, from scheduling appointments to coordinating care.
• Know every patient on the doctor's schedule and anticipate their needs.
• Work with the Front Desk and Clinical Assistants to fill the schedule and meet productivity goals.
• Review the schedule for the next day, ensuring all necessary consents and payments are completed.
• Follow up with patients added to the schedule and triage as needed.
• Review new patients' x-rays and present treatment plans during exams.
• Schedule appointments and review consent forms and pre/post-op instructions with patients.
• Submit medical clearances and follow up until received.
• Complete the Treatment Coordinator tracker throughout the day and document any exams or consults.
• Pull reports for provider productivity and review with the dentist.
