About The Position
The position is responsible for the sterile processing of dental instruments, equipment sanitation, operatory turnover, and maintaining compliance with infection control guidelines. As a key member of the dental support team, this position will ensure that all instruments are properly decontaminated, packaged, sterilized, and tracked in accordance with CDC, OSHA, and ADA guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Instrument Decontamination & Sterilization : Clean, inspect, and safely handle contaminated instruments; operate ultrasonic cleaners, washer-disinfectors, and autoclaves while following strict sterilization protocols.
- Inventory & Storage Management : Store sterilized instruments in clean areas, rotate stock using FIFO practices, and assist with tracking and restocking supplies.
- Operatory Turnover & Support : Help clean and reset treatment rooms between patients, disinfect surfaces, and replenish chairside kits and supplies.
- Infection Control & Compliance : Adhere to OSHA, CDC, and ADA guidelines, use proper PPE, and report any equipment or protocol issues to management.
- Equipment Maintenance & Recordkeeping : Perform basic maintenance on sterilization equipment, log sterilization cycles and testing, and maintain all compliance documentation.
