ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Answers telephones; including scheduling of patient appointments, account billing inquiries, and detailed dental communication notes. Prepares for future appointments (i.e. prints daily schedules, confirms appointments, and fills cancellation appointments as schedule permits). Greets incoming patients and visitors. Marks the schedule appropriately, obtains significant demographic information from pertinent forms, and electronically updates patient registration information. Has registration updated and encounter worksheet prepared to maintain an efficient workflow. Responsible for acquiring patient financial information and collecting payment. Accurately completes income determination. Verifies insurance eligibility. Accountable for cash drawer and daily deposit accuracy. Assists outgoing patients, schedules appointments, and completes appointment cards. Thoroughly reviews treatment plans with the dental support staff and makes financial arrangements accordingly. Establishes interpreter services as needed. Utilizes computer software programs. Scans documents into appropriate patient record. Electronically inputs, prints, and mails no-show letters to patients according to the Dental No-Show Policy. Generates patient portal pin numbers.
