Join our team at the Front Range Community College Community Dental Clinic and utilize your Dental Assistant skills in this per diem position. Who You Are As the Part-Time Hourly Dental Patient Coordinator, you will perform front desk tasks for the dental clinic, including patient registration, payment collection, posting payments in Dentrix, answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, and provides clinical support. SELECTION PROCESS: Position will remain open until filled. Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Also, Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer. The selection process for the Part-Time Hourly Dental Patient Coordinator will be conducted through a competitive, merit-based evaluation of all qualified applicants. Part-time hours and schedule are somewhat variable per semester and cannot exceed 28 hours per week.

Requirements

• One (1) year of customer service experience. Prior work experience in a health care setting is preferred.
• OR
• Graduation from a healthcare-related certificate or degree program.

Nice To Haves

• Dental office experience
• Current BLS (CPR): Candidates without current certification must obtain BLS certification within 60 days of employment; the college provides the necessary training and certification at no cost to dental clinic employees.

Responsibilities

• Performs front desk operations in the dental clinic.
• Handles cashier and accounts receivable services for dental-related services, including processing transactions, verifying system records, classifying payments and transactions, and depositing clinic fee collections with the business office.
• Ensures accurate cash handling, by performing opening and closing procedures, reconciling charges, and balancing collections at the end of each clinic day.
• Acts as the primary contact for all dental clinic customers, providing front-line support.
• Schedules patients for appointments and asks predetermined screening questions.
• Assists with the organization and coordination of daily operations, projects, and activities within the dental clinic.
• Assists in maintaining daily student and patient schedule.
• Assists with organizing and maintaining lab storage and supply areas.
• Assists with supply inventory, receiving, and storing supplies.
• Supports instrument sterilization processes - On-the-job training will be provided.
