About The Position

As a Dental Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the practice. You will oversee administrative tasks, manage staff, coordinate patient scheduling, handle billing and financial matters, and ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the office. Requirements

  • Experience in a dental office management role (min 3 years).
  • Proficiency in dental office software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of dental billing and insurance processes.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and other relevant healthcare compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Management/supervisory experience within a dental office, prefer 2-3 years.
  • Experience working in a dental, medical office.
  • Experience in insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate office staff, including dental assistants, receptionists, and administrative personnel.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the dental office, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, handling inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee billing and accounts receivable processes, verify insurance coverage, and handle financial transactions.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, manage appointment reminders, and address patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Monitor inventory levels of dental supplies and equipment, place orders as necessary.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols to uphold clinical standards.
  • Achieves revenue goals by effectively managing patient scheduling, staff productivity, collections and receivables.
  • Manages office within budget guidelines including clerical and auxiliary supply purchases.
  • Increases and stimulates new patient growth by supporting sales, marketing and promotional programs.
  • Recruits, hires and develops office teams capable of providing best in class patient care.
  • Directly supervises office teams and proactively manages their performance and development.
  • Completes administrative tasks such as flash report review, bank deposits, revenue posting, staff payroll and bonus.
  • Maintains patient data to include required regulatory chart documents and account history transactions.
  • Manages and assists designated office team members with appropriate payment and insurance processes.
  • Maintains facilities and equipment cleanliness and safety.
  • Ensures flawless execution of operational standards, including compliance with established company policies.
  • Responds to doctor, patient and employee grievances, complaints, and inquiries.
  • Continually works towards building and sustaining a joined leadership work environment with doctors.
