Requirements

  • 3+ years related experience in dental lab
  • 3Shape Dental manager experience
  • 1+ years of model technician experience
  • Scanning experience
  • The ability to read, write, understand and communicate clearly with employees and customers in order to successfully and effectively complete assigned tasks.
  • Written Communication: Ability to compose clear, concise, and professional technical emails and detailed work order notes.
  • Verbal Communication: Confidence and professionalism when speaking with dentists, providing technical guidance, and clarifying complex case details over the phone.
  • Active Listening: The ability to accurately comprehend and internalize the clinical context and aesthetic requirements described by the dentist.
  • Issue Resolution - Handle case rejections, returns, or technical inquiries regarding fit or aesthetics.
  • Internal Communication - Maintain a clear and organized workflow within the lab.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with microscopic precision.
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and oral structures.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital dental software (CAD/CAM).
  • Familiarity with dental laboratory equipment (e.g., articulators, porcelain furnaces, microscopes/magnification, CAD/CAM systems).

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily laboratory operations Milling and Polishing the crown, the abutment and etc.
  • Meticulously fit and adapt implant-supported crowns onto custom and stock abutments, ensuring a precise and seamless marginal seal (marginal integrity).
  • Verify the accurate seating and rotation of crowns/bridges over implant abutments and prepared dies.
  • Perform necessary adjustments, grinding, and finishing to achieve optimal fit and contour before final porcelain application or cementation preparation.
  • Finish and polish appliances to a high standard.
  • Work with various materials such as wax, plaster, metal alloys, ceramics, acrylics, and resins.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology, 3D printing, and milling machines for digital dentistry workflows.
  • Prepare models and dies for scanning
  • Communicate effectively with dentists and dental office staff regarding case details, material choices, and potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and materials used.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Be able to lift 5 - 30 lbs.
