About The Position

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician (skilled in Crown & Bridge fabrication) opportunity at NDX Stern Empire in Houston, TX. The regular hours for this position are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Requirements

  • Knowledge of tooth anatomy
  • Ability to articulate according to Rx
  • Knowledge of materials (i.e. stones, acrylic)
  • Identify through Impressions margins
  • Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 years’ experience with building porcelain crowns, and 2 or more years contouring monolithic crowns
  • Proficient in executing all levels of dental lab cases without assistance
  • Demonstrates ability to handle complex design cases independently
  • Cross-trained in multiple tasks and functions across the department and operates self-sufficiently

Responsibilities

  • Fit all work to a solid poured or digitally printed model
  • Choose correct porcelain
  • Build to correct contour, blend and occlusion
  • Stain and glaze with crown clean-up functions on posterior restorations
  • Complete esthetic anterior PFZ, PFM and full contour cases
  • Fire at the correct temperature and for the appropriate amount of time
  • Steam clean required items
  • Return items to proper pan
  • Complete cases according to work ticket schedule
  • Scan and initial cases as required
  • Perform basic porcelain repairs according to Technical Team Policies
  • All other duties as assigned
