Requirements

• Experience with insurance verification and claims processing (dental experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits prior to appointments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Calculate expected insurance payments, determine patient copays, and file insurance claims.
• Handle patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage, explaining benefits and addressing any disputes.
• Manage and update patient insurance records using Dentrix software.
• Collect payments from patients and assist with billing inquiries.
• Follow up on outstanding claims and generate aging reports to track overdue payments.
• Maintain a strong understanding of dental insurance policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
