About The Position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Dental Hygienist! This position is part-time/contract, requiring 35 hours per week, with a duration of 6+ months. The role is based in New Jersey and is part of Colgate's Bright Smiles, Bright Futures (BSBF) program, which is dedicated to improving children's oral health across over 80 countries. In the United States, the program operates a fleet of mobile van units that travel to more than 1,000 cities annually. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in expanding the program's reach by providing onsite and virtual visits focused on oral health and wellbeing, particularly for underserved populations. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for conducting visual screenings, providing oral health education, and offering treatment referrals for children up to age twelve. This role also involves outreach to community partners and requires working on the mobile van unit to visit schools, summer camps, community centers, and events. The position offers a flexible work environment, allowing for both onsite and remote work. Weekend work and travel, including some overnight stays, are required. The Dental Hygienist will implement day-to-day responsibilities, including screening and educating on the mobile unit and virtually, recruiting dental volunteers, and maintaining relationships with local community organizations. Specific responsibilities include identifying, organizing, scheduling, and confirming Virtual Van Visits and On-Site Visits with various community-based organizations. The Dental Hygienist will act as a liaison with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including local community groups, public health officials, and business leaders, to generate support for the program. Additionally, the role involves organizing educational materials, recruiting volunteers, monitoring program progress, and presenting oral health instruction to children and parents. The ideal candidate will possess relevant dental hygienist licensure, a diploma in dental hygiene, and a strong commitment to promoting health and helping others.
