About The Position

Carolina Periodontics is adding to the hygiene team due to growth of the practice and seeking a Part Time Dental Hygienist in Charlotte, North Carolina! Eligible for Sign on Bonus! The Carolina Periodontics practice specializes in periodontics and implantology with focus on personalized, gentle and comprehensive patient care. This practice is truly like a family where all team members care about each other and making it a great practice to work in! Requirements

Licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the state of North Carolina
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
Current BLS/CPR certifications
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
1 or more years of RDH clinical experience preferred - new grads are welcome to apply!
Knowledgeable about perio health, comfortable with patient education, and competent with gum therapy
Experience with dental practice software
Seeking a new team collaborator that is open, positive and flexible
Local Anesthesia certification or is willing to obtain one

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
Screening patients and providing quality care during check-ups
Educating patients in oral hygiene technique and working with patients and their oral hygiene care
Reviewing patient's history and charting
Administers prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
Documents area of existing restorations
Use of X-ray
Support the dentist with procedures as needed
