Requirements

Licensed Dental Hygienist in Texas
Current CPR/BLS certification
Proficiency in Patient Management Software
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a team environment

Responsibilities

Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planning
Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal charting
Take and process dental X-rays and digital scans
Apply sealants, fluoride, and desensitizing agents
Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and long-term oral hygiene habits
Provide nutritional and lifestyle guidance related to oral health
Review and update medical histories and patient records
Collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning
Document clinical findings accurately in patient management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines
Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and treatment rooms
