About The Position

Overview: Monday through Thursday 8:15am – 4:45pm / Friday 7:15am – 3:45pm Job Description Summary: Provides oral health care, dental health education, and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic. Job Description: Essential Functions: Examines patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues. Cleans teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains. Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health. Administers local anesthesia and applies cavity-preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants. Takes and develops dental X-rays to help diagnose dental problems. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, required.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, required.
  • Passed the National Boards, required.
  • Passed the Northeast Regional Boards, required.
  • Certified in CPR, required.
  • Robust communication skills, required.
  • Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients.
  • Possesses strong manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Six months of relevant experience, preferred.
