Requirements

Active Colorado Dental Hygiene license required
Strong communication and patient care skills required
A team player with a positive attitude!

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience preferred but not required
Denticon and Open Dental experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Review daily schedule and complete hygiene chart audits
Work with administrative assistant to schedule hygiene patients with efficiency and accuracy
Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary
Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health
Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis or periodontal maintenance for patients
Perform scaling, root planing, and selective polishing for patients as appropriate
Administer local anesthetics
Take radiographs of patients as prescribed by dentist
Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealants
Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way
Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment
Teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients
Perform other tasks assigned by the office
