Requirements

  • Active Colorado Dental Hygiene license required
  • Strong communication and patient care skills required
  • A team player with a positive attitude!

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience preferred but not required
  • Denticon and Open Dental experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Review daily schedule and complete hygiene chart audits
  • Work with administrative assistant to schedule hygiene patients with efficiency and accuracy
  • Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary
  • Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health
  • Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis or periodontal maintenance for patients
  • Perform scaling, root planing, and selective polishing for patients as appropriate
  • Administer local anesthetics
  • Take radiographs of patients as prescribed by dentist
  • Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealants
  • Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way
  • Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment
  • Teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the office
