Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
Ky State Dental Hygiene License
License or designation to administer local anesthetics preferred
Experience preferred
Full-time position, 5 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.
Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

Perform routine dental hygiene procedures including scaling and root planing, coronal polishing, obtaining dental x-rays, application of desensitizing agents, administration of local anesthetics (with proper licensure), etc.
Review patient’s medical and dental history and identify immediate needs
Discuss with patient oral hygiene instructions that include an obtainable plan for the patient’s needs.
Identify obstacles and teach patients how to prevent dental disease.
Dispense proper oral hygiene aids
Maintain patient dental charts, including periodontal charting and proper documentation
Stock required supplies and maintain equipment
Work in coordination with management to develop and implement a quality assurance program
May need to perform as a dental assistant as needed
Adhere to professional standards and company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned.
