Dental Hygienist - Part Time Summary: The Dental Hygienist supports dental care by assisting with hygiene patients. Requirements
- Certification for a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR e quivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
- Active NM Dental Hygiene License
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Performs all functions as permitted by the Dental Board of California for a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Performs ancillary functions of dental assisting, as needed, including but not limited to:
- Assists the doctor in procedures as needed
- Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
- Prophy’s teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
