About The Position

GENERAL OVERVIEW Provides prophylaxis treatments and education to patients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Calls the patient to confirm scheduled appointment. Evaluates patient, takes blood pressure, and reviews medical history prior to dental prophylaxis. Performs prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planning, and periodontal probing. Documents overall oral hygiene in the patient chart for review by the dentist and ensures proper billing procedures. Explains procedure to patients/families and provides teaching instructions and or materials for home care. Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License. CPR – American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Preferred 1 year of dental hygienist experience preferred. Requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License.
