Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene.
  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Registered Dental Hygienist License in the state of MO.
  • Knowledge of all phases of dental hygiene, including the use of equipment, instruments, and materials.
  • Ability to educate patients on preventative dentistry practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and staff.
  • Willingness to become licensed in additional states as needed.
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services to clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional cleanings, including oral prophylaxis, while educating patients on brushing, flossing, and nutrition for lifelong oral health.
  • Apply topical fluorides, place sealants, and screen for cavities, periodontal disease, oral cancer, and medical history concerns.
  • Conduct radiographs, perform supra- and subgingival scaling, root planing, and provide comprehensive care for acute periodontal conditions.
  • Assist with periodontal surgical techniques and administer local anesthetics (if qualified), ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Record thorough and accurate medical histories to support individualized care plans.
  • Deliver therapeutic treatments while empowering patients to take charge of their dental health.
  • Maintain detailed, timely, and accurate patient records to uphold clinical excellence.
  • Train and mentor dental assistants, fostering a skilled and collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in dental prevention and education initiatives that promote oral health awareness.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed, contributing to a positive and innovative clinical setting.
